I just read through the majority of the last several years of the IHS Guestbook (yeah, I have no life! Ha) Terrific entries...VEGAS looks like it's gonna be a riot! What a rowdy crew we Hodjas were and ARE! (Quirky Observation: Checked out the Photo Galleries...has anyone noted just how much we flipped-off the camera in the '70's (or was that the photographer)?! Hysterically, about 20% of the time. LOL Thanks to Peggy, Cary, Kim and the whole reunion gang for making this website & Vegas '06' possible....I simply can't wait, ya'll seem like great people! Eventhough most of you probably won't know me or will maybe only recognize me as Neil and Leslie Angle's punk kid sister, VEGAS sounds like it's gonna be a BLAST!!! COME ONE COME ALL!
Most of all, thank you to the best big sister in the whole world for making my Vegas Reunion possible!
Thanks to all the Guestbookers....your comments brought back a wonderful blast from the past! Other Turkeyisms gone but not forgotten: 'Two digit midget', Meysu, Eckmek(sp?), Sea School (Did anyone else get to go in '77'?), and last but not least...loads of camels in huge yellow dump trucks! (What a trip the first time ya see one of those.LOL) We are all better people because of our Turkey experiences...Viva Hodjas...and see ya in VEGAS BABY!!!

My heart cries out for you, as you know our son, Jimmy, was only 10 when kiled at incirlik in 1977 from a bike & truck accident.. From one MOM to another MOM; my prayers are with you and your family for the loss of your son. Know that prayers are being said all around the world for you. One never gets over the loss of a child but learns to place him in that special corner of your heart where he will live forever. Much love, Barbara Beebe

Ewwwww Yuk!... I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.... Frank, Brad, and Mark in the same sentence (fragments) as the word Speedo..... Though I have been prepping for the ?Second Inaugural All Male Review?, swimming togs is more my (body?s) style than a Speedo (You know, a washboard stomach on a man in his 40's signifies one of two things, either he's a professional body builder, or he's switched teams...). 1. Mankini
A one piece t-back style bathing suit which is supported around the shoulders much like suspenders. Seen on gay friendly beaches all over the world. Only to be worn by the most flaaaaaaayming fags. If you are seen wearing a mankini you are the poster boy for gays......some people might call you faggadocious.......some might even say you are starving a for tube steak smothered in underwear or you are training to suck el-dicko. Everyone will see you as a dung punching ass bandit.

Hope everyone is gearing up for the little get together in Vegas. What's the matter Debbie Jampole and Debby English you don't like us anymore? It's a shame the two of you only used us for our bodies in high school, and then forget about us later. : ) I'm sure other guy's from the Lik can relate to that.
I read the comments daily, but the home computer is ready for computer heaven and the computer at work is feeling a little small itself.

Whoa! Let the games begin! Even a little early. Wanted to post a couple of things. First, I have delayed late registration fees until June 15th due to the fact that I have been unavailable to answer emails regarding registration. I will send out an email about that later to everyone, so just ignore if it does not apply to you. Also, have some registrations to fill you in on...Diana Greer (I think I posted her earlier), Jeff Pidgeon, Cheryl Carney, Neil Garrett, Florida Sanderson, Mark Sanderson, and Mr. & Mrs. Sanderson! Thanks for registering, and we can't wait to see you in July! Also, I have received notification for registration of Edythe West, Greg Lozaga, and a crew from the 80's! Many more on the way!

Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell who does not have the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of his name. This calls for wisdom: let anyone with the understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a person. Its number is six hundred and sixty-six.

I can't wait to see Laurie's Coyote Ugly show (we have a huge bar in the hospitality suite!), and Leslie...well, Leslie...I can't think of a better time than getting kicked out of a bar with you! I hate I missed the Austin thing! Bev...you sound like you are just what the doctor ordered! You already feel like family to me. Kim...forever my partner in crime! Never a dull moment with you, and many more to come. We'll talk Italy later! Now I don't feel like some sicko because I know that I am not the only one who wants to see Brad in a mankini!!! I thought I was just messed up! Better yet, having Frank, David, Mike, Doug and Brad wearing mankinis while Laurie is doing her Coyote Ugly skit in the hospitality suite while Leslie, Bev, Rosanne, Kim and I all get kicked out for lewd behavior! Sounds like a blast! We have Tony, Teresa, Susan, Karen and Kelly to bail us all out of jail so no worries! I love you all! Your good medicine.

If so, only ONE MORE DAY TO REGISTER...don't delay, just do it~register now! Hope to see you there! Can't wait to meet all you new registrars...and everyone really!
Frank, funny she called you the Ringleader...pretty sure it's gonna be a '3-ring' Circus Circus with all of the showstoppers (Laurie,Brad,Peggy, etc. etc.) and wild animals(i.e. Leslie):) Now we'll know where to get direction from!
David and Kim....innocent? I hardly think! A little birdie also told me that Kim specifically requested a room with a hot tub...hmmmmm?! Innocent, um-hmm, yeah right! ;) And David, I'm plannin' to fill Peggy full of Leslie's special Margarita mix and then no doubt the juicy stories will flow...LOL
Laurie, I'm sure the grand finale will revolve around your coyote ugly show (I'd like to register for lessons now please.)
And finally, Brad, I've always said "Real Men wear Purple!" I hear they have a show in Vegas that you'd be interested in trying out for...it's called 'Thunder Down Under'! I'd just luuuuv to play you a game of pool! (grin)
Well Hodjas...hope everyone is gearing up for the Luau ~ I Can't seem to find a full-length grass skirt yet and marble size coconuts are hard to find in Lubbock, but I'm still lookin'. LOL! Peggy & Kim: Your CDs were mailed this afternoon (3-4 days delivery. Hope this allows enough time for you Peggy to get your surprise ready? Also, USPS Money Order enclosed).
Looking at everyone's responses, sounds like Vegas could turn into the west coast version of "Austin City Lights"! Looking forward to seeing all you Hodja alumni (you really did make my tour at Incirlik enjoyable and memorable). Some of you know about the CD; but for those that don't (I don't have your email addy), I've just burned 300+ (color & B/W) pictures; 99% are of YOU ALUMNI. Also included are some pictures Cindy (Ferreira) taken during her reign as yearbook staff photographer. CDs will be handed-out to those wanting one during the reunion. Those not attending the reunion can still get a CD by sending me your snail mail address (some I already have). Unfortuantely, not every student was captured on film; but there are shots from: classroom, campus, faculty/staff, tennis, wrestling, basketball, track, gymnastics, softball, homecoming, Adana, the beach, and at POOL SIDE!! Anyone with younger brothers/sisters may also be on these. Hope everyone enjoys the pics and memorable times of our more youthful years. Byron (Randolph) lives ten miles from me but won't be making the reunion this year. Kerry (Armstrong) Damore lives nearby but not sure if she'll make the reunion. Laurie: I'm just south of you; surely Folsom has changed over the last 20 years! Mike: I'll bring your (NHRA) pics I enlarged but never mailed. Cindy: Bring your Raider gear (is July too early to start celebrating?)! Until next month....have a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable day! Greg (Coach) Oh yeah, sorry for the vague answer (Fav ol' Song)...just too many to list! I knew many of the bands and/or musicians from the 60s/70s (Linda Ronstadt, Eagles, Olivia, Santana, The Mama's & The Papa's, Iron Butterfly, Stevie Nicks, and The Yardbirds (pre-Zeppelin) to name a few).

Well here is the Angle Approach! Leslie and Beverly have decided that they would like to take a motorcycle trip to Hoover Dam for a tour of the damn dam. Cary had previously indicated that he will be renting a motorcycle for the day while in Vegas since I won't let him drive ours there (ALL THE WAY FROM GEORGIA!!!!) So, we decided to invite everyone who would like to go, whether by car or bike, and add this as another side trip to the reunion. I have found a rental company that rents both cars and bikes at fairly reasonable rates. Motorcycles are $99 for five hours, or $139 per day, cars start at $49 depending on whether you want to be Mario Andretti for a day, or Paris Hilton. I think if we have quite a few to rent, I may can negotiate a group discount. However, I would need to know something pretty quick, and you would need to be prepared to contact the rental company to secure your choice via a credit card.

The neighbor kids will remember this as the poor old drunk lady with the nice yard who use to pull the kids in a trailewr around the neiborhood with a riding lawn mower when her husband was out of town. Joe Nielsen and i met up in KC yesterday and had a great visit. We did attempt to be the voice of moderation for those Atlanta girls-who were starting early again yesterday. We were not successful in our no drinking safety briefing. Joe and i of course resisted the temptation from the liquid spirits-which furthers my theory that it was always the girls getting me in trouble in Turkey.

If you come to the hospitality suite and you are not coming to any of the events there will be a 20.00 charge, if you are registered for events but not staying at hotel there will be a 10.00 charge for hospitality use. The hospitality suite is being paid for by room block nites and through part of the registration fee and whatever is leftover comes out of our pockets. We try to ensure that we have everything to accomodate everyone. Unfortunately, fun things in life are not free!! It will be worth every penny though! For those of you who plan to attend any of the events, there will be a late fee charged due to the fact that our caterers charge us more for people who are not accounted for in our original headcounts. WARNING! The hotel catering will charge 1 1/2 times the original cost for those not included in the original headcount. Linda - WHAT??? All-around gymnastics Champion for the 75-76 school year... Who could forget? I must have been a very good boy though... I never even HEARD about you and Debbie getting into trouble.... let alone being in trouble myself. There was that flashing incident in Ankara but that doesn't count.
Doug - Are you sure you're not from the east side? Nothin' better than a pig in the ground and beer on ice!
Frank - It would be awsome if you could go by Kelly's and get a quart of their mustard sauce. These Yankees and left-coasters will never be the same.

Uh-oh....looks liek we a quite a few more to add to the list of those who will be kicked out of bar, jumping on cars, and going night-night in the local drunk tank!!! Karen has already let me know that she does not intend on being one of those who bail us out, but more like one of those who needs bailing out!!! Now we have Linda and Debbie to worry about as well! Doug....better make that a VERY, VERY BIG hat to pass! This will be one that we should never forget, but probably won't be able to remember the next day! Jerry! Will you please just video-tape it all. I want to know how much fun I had!

You bet spam (scientifically processed animal matter held together w/banana slugs) is the island mainstay, nothing like spam and eggs or a today plate, for those of us from the cajun heritage our pig roasts are called cochon de lait, and we usually play football with the real pigskin (head) the idea is to drink enough alcohol so even if the meat isn't completely cooked nothing could survive in the gut anyways (-:, but I of course have only heard about these things......

Been doin a little research on em'.(*wink*) I sincerely hope that when planning the 'prize' you've given good consideration to a female recipient, since I'm one up on you guys...Brad & Frank. A mankini clothed male Alumni would be nice, or a pole. (Ask Leslie & Peggy) Doug, you'll be WAY too impaired by the time we all get there. And, if you're a prune from so many late night/iced beer/hottub comatose experiences, I'm sure Peggy, Leslie & I can take the hottub off your hands! Oh Kimmmmmmie...you can count me out of any Hawaiian 'football', someone's got to man the hottub and rotate the pig on the pit! It's 2150 here-just got back from some real life recon- did something constructive-it's a long walk from Ceasers to Circus-Circus. On that end of the strip the prices are much better. Bring good walking shoes. The beer is cheaper, more choices for food at a better price and it's better tasting. May be my last night her as i need to try and get back to KC a day early if possible-but it's been fun and really has increased my anxiousness for our reunion. The powers to be chose well in my opinion. Well i'm looking forward to my next trip, because you all will be here to help me enjoy, remember and relive some awesome times in our past. What a flurry-seems as though the stars are aligning us because once again i'm out cooking wings and peppers and of course a few frosty's. Did the Mongolian thing with Jay and Leslie. They did the blue and white at Kaufman. Left Peg a message-no answer-that whole beach house thing. I think she is relaxing before that final push organizing everything wo we can have fun. Not sure about someone from Alaska speaking Hawwiain-Ok good recipe but too many suds. Making double time tomorrow-her stock is going up-it's all about earning power at this stage in life. This Kim chick is looking good. I saved the panty hose. Will make them a door prize. Thought about a room just for those females who aspire to well we never did finish that conversation. Conspired for the sake of some of ours in dire need. Gotta love the whole Texas legal thing thing. Have a whole new outlook on conspiracy now-it was fun. Hope everyone has a great fourth-loved the mall thing with L & J. Am tring to limit the travel until the 18th but may end up going East first-Atlanta is looking like a turn around again. I really hate this work thing messing with my play time. 18th cannot get here fast enough. How many folks coming in on the 18th like hot and spicy-trying to scheme a way to bring some wings and peppers. Does L&J have a stove for reheating? Do we need a ice chest in the room for beer? Just thoughts i have this late in the evening.

Sleep is over rated. Didn't rain here until about 0400-i did some porch sitting like any good hillbilly and enjoyed it-wish it had been more but every little bit helps the garden. I belive adversity builds character so i have assumed the role of chief character builder for the young love birds-haha-i love this role. I need more teenagers. This afternoon i will be surrounded by teenagers-let the games begin-so much fun. We had a great time too-Glad to hear the ole Show Me Mo. is in your future again. While i was grilling and slugging them back the ole mind was brainstorming on how i layout my lake cabin with RV and connectivity concerns. Get you all down in the Ozarks and then we will really have a blast. Maybe even get some of them banjo pickin folks of mine to stop by and see your highway house. I'm glad to hear about the tubs-i was planning on bringing my cooler-cause gotta have beer on ice. I'm betting we can end up swimming and scrubbin in them tubs. I actually think i can make a pan of peppers and wings-=freeze them and carry them on the plane-they will thaw in time to heat them up for the night of the 18th. Gotta straw poll and see who likes spicy? I think Peg is still playing at that place where they broke all the hour glasses-lucky gal. Now what's this i hear?-got a Texas girl and a relocated Cajun in Alaska trying to speak Hawwaiian. Closest i can come to Hawwaiian is "Voodoo Pounanny" And well that is just a universal warning for us guys. And where have I been?-everyone seems to know about Merrill's. Great reviews too! I feel like i have been in a time warp for 17yrs. Would love to get this group on a float trip down here on one of our crystal clear Ozark streams. Hey i was just wettin my whistle with that whole conspiracy thing-we need to start that up again-good for laughs-i'm sure i need a babysitter in 1416-maybe knock that lady holding them scales out of kilter. Kids are making cup cakes and Les has the frill going-gonna be a suds filled fourth with some good chow-sorry you all couldn't stay for another day. Have you broke out Roy D Mercer yet-remember we are trading in the sandy hot place. I just put Roy on and it's time to pee-my sides hurt. Be safe folks.

I heard another side effect from Tequila could be waking up naked on a floating dock in a lake, in May, in a 50 degree rain with about 500 people on shore cheering you on as you swim in vomiting. Not sure if there is an antidote to this posion, "maybe just say no" I'm told it's contagious when others are drinking it in near vicinity.

First, I feel One missed reporting a MAJOR side effect of Tequila®, it being the most acute and commonly experienced, should be reported: Loose Lips!!! ANY verbosity uttered while under the influence of this powerful substance, whether written or spoken, should be regarded as mere unfounded babble resulting from the hallucinatory effects of said substance.(Specific scientific research subjects of this MAJOR side effect being Leslie & Peggy). Also, in an attempt to preserve the integrity of certain Texas legal epicures and in order to avert prejudice, I must reserve my rights under the 5th Amendment to the Constitution. That being said, I feel it necessary to request volunteers to assist in the further study of this MAJOR side effect of Tequila®. Will the individual with knowledge regarding a certain floating dock in the middle of the lake please step forward.(Do Tell!) Secondly, Kimi, "life of the party"/"brunt of the joke"...these are starting to seem oddly synonymous, all the same to me as long as what happens in Vegas stays in VEGAS!(*grin, wink*) WARNING to all RV inhabitants...there are PLENTY of 'hallucinations' to report! Beverly, Mr Busch helps me with my entries-because i heed advice i do not consume Tequila-i learned from my friend's dock experience while he was attending a national aquatic school in 1977. I have asked him to step forward and provide us with more details but he remains steadfast in insisting on proper representation prior to further disclosure on this subject. I would be willing to lend my objectivity to any study concerning this beverage-in particular i'm interested in the effects on the female of our species. If i had to specialize it would be in the area of single female. My observation skills are honed and i'm sure i could properly articulate my observations.
I of course also know CPR if required.
